We maintained an active "Refuge Revolving Box" with another organization since mid 2006 but with the start of POLLINATION STATION we now link through our own website! Many of you familiar with that letterbox trail know it changed several times each year. Our new "Pollination Station Migration Box" will be similar. Check back often for new clues and current news!

It's more important than ever to focus on Monarch Butterfly conservation! Get involved by making sure your friends and neighbors are aware of the plight of the Monarch Butterfly. Plant your milkweed! Remember, milkweed is the ONLY plant on which a female Monarch will lay her eggs. They are the ONLY plants the Monarch Caterpillars will eat.
In order to help us continue our head starting and community outreach programs for Monarch Butterflies, you can sponsor an individual butterfly for $15 or for $25 you can sponsor a caterpillar. We find these sponsorships to be very popular with those who want to be part of the conservation effort and they also make wonderful gifts for teachers, kids, grandparents and gardening friends. You will receive photo updates as your assigned caterpillar develops and, when it becomes a beautiful butterfly, a photo certificate containing your name, the butterfly's gender, release date and location. We've been told kids (and adults!) look forward to the arrival of these updates and enjoy watching their caterpillar magically transform from larvae to butterfly. As always, proceeds go towards Monarch Butterfly education, tagging and conservation efforts.
